10605 | With sadness I am reporting the death of Monroe Weldon Graham.Iunderstand it was from a heart attack. His funeral is today, November 25th, at 2:00 PM at: Cool-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home (512) 892-1172 6300 William Cannon West Austin, TX 78746 Following the service, Monroe will be interred at the AustinMemorialPark. Monroe was born on 22 December 1920 in Tahoka, Texas, to NewtonGrahamand Josephine Malone Graham, married Fanny Willodean Foster in 1923, andhadone son, Weldon Terry Graham in 1949. (I hope this information is correcta there are no omissions.) Monroe's grandfather was James Monroe Graham, the youngest ofJesseGraham's sons, and as stated above his father was Newton Graham, the 7th ofJames Monroe's 12 children. Named for his grandfather, James Monroe,MonroeWeldon was born on his father's wheat farm near Plainview, Texas. In 1935when Monroe was about 15 years old, Newton moved his family to McAllen,Texa where Monroe graduated from high school. He enlisted in the ArmyAirCorps (prior name of the U.S. Air Force) at Randolph Air Base in SanAntonio, Texas, and went through Flying School. During WW II he flew planesofseveral kinds, and was decorated on several occasions for bravery. He served26years in the service of our country, and retired from the USAF asapilot/Lt.Col. He was a true patriot, and we all owe his memory our honor. In 1986 Monroe recorded that he had two living sisters: Kizzie Greenof McAllen, Texas, and Fern Shannon of Fairfield, California. I do notknow their present status. Monroe attended our Clan Graham Reunions as often as his healthwouldallow it, and was such a joy to be with. Indeed, he was one of theoriginalGrahams to help organize our branch of Clan Graham. We shall miss thiscousinwhose life was spent for family and country. We salute you, Monroe, forthefriend, cousin, and warrior that you have been. Bill E. Graham | Graham, Monroe Weldon (I59483)

10606 | With the exception of a few records located in Santa Clara, New Mexico parish, most records for this family are listed in Holy Cross, Santa Cruz, New Mexico. Not to be confused with the Juan Diego Trujillo that was married 1st to Rufina Barela and then on 29 March 1751 to Juana Benavides. Parentage still being sorted out, but this Diego was noted in the following dispensations of two sons. 1789, Feb. 13 (no. 37), Santa Cruz. ALEJANDRO TRUJILLO, son of Diego Trujillo and Juana Martinez, and Maria Manuela Archuleta , d. of Antonio Luciano Archuleta and Maria Antonia Garcia. Pair dispensed, 4th degree consanguinity, transverse line. Couple had aleady been married without such dispensation. (Note: the 4 generations of how the bride/groom were related was not listed). 1790, April 22 (no. 17), Santa Cruz. CARPIO TRUJILLO (20), espanol of El Potrero, son of Diego Trujillo and Juana Martin, both deceased, and Felipa Madrid (20), d. of Roque Madrid and Antonia de Jesus Sandoval. Wtnesses: Juan Bustos (62), Juan Duran (52), Antonio Martin (48), Francisco Bustos (32). (Note: Carpio Trujillo was baptized as Policarpio Trujillo, and some useful information that was given in this dispensation is the both parents were deceased by this date) In the 24 August 1785 marriage record of son Jose Antonio Trujillo and Ana Maria Borrego, it was noted that Diego Trujillo was already deceased. It does not appear that Diego Trujillo/Juana Martin left the Santa Cruz area, but could not find either person in death records searching from 1772-1795. The microfilm records are basically unreadable for much of the year 1781, and it could very well be where the death of Diego is located. Juana was still living as of 24 August 1785, so unsure where her death record is located. | Trujillo, Diego (I146209)

Our subject was brought to Illinois by his parents in 1822, and was educated principally in Sangamon, now Menard County. On June 26, 1834, he was married to Miss Mary Dick, a native of Kentucky; born Feb. 16, 1817, and died June 22, 1857; was the mother of seven children, of whom three are living, viz.: Phillip, Peter, and Martha, wife of John Plunkett. He first rented a farm in this county, on Sangamon Bottom; he has since been engaged in farming in this county, and is now living upon his farm, one mile southwest from Chandlerville, but has been retired from active labor for several years. His second marriage occurred in Mason County, April 3, 1862, to Mrs. Susan Shelton, formerly a Bowman; was born in Rutherford Co., Tenn., March 17, 1825; she is a daughter of Daniel Bowman, a native of Maryland, born March 11, 1799, and died Sept. 14, 1859. Mr. and Mrs. Hash have had two children, both dead. Mr. Hash is the owner of about 200 acres of land; our subject and wife are members of the Christian Church. He is a Democrat. Mr. Hash says he was often compelled to give up his house on account of the Indians, and at other times used to associate among them. He was always daring. Old Dr. Chandler, who first laid out Chandlerville, said he had doctored five generations of the Hash family. | Hash, Phillip (I103501)
