100 acres of land from John Ballendine for 5 shillings. The land was stated as near
the Blue Ridge (mountains).  The land was previously owned by Benjamin Grayson
(son of Benjamin Grayson, who died), and it was sold to John Ballendine, who leased
it to Thomas Drake. The document implies that the land could be inherited to him
and his heirs.

acre tract bought by William Cox  (Book E, folio 303) on 28 November 1741, and then
conveyed to Benjamin Grayson (of Prince William County), who divided the land to his
son Spence Grayson, who sold and conveyed the land to Hector Ross, who sold and
conveyed the land to Thomas Drake.

noted Thomas Drake (Carpenter) was the son of Jonathan Drake.  The
Lewis families were from Shelby, Kentucky, and Thomas Drake from
Loudoun County, Virginia.

noted the following:
Named wife as Uriee [Uree], and gave all of his estate to her.
Uriee was to educate and raise his Grandson: James Heaton Drake
-
Named son Thomas Drake (Junior), who was living on 111 acres of land
owned by his father, and upon his mother's death, he was to have this land,
along with a negro named Alice (including any increase).  The portion of
and he lived on was decribed as beginning on the corner of Benjamin
Barton and Isaac Richards, near a Round. Then west 172 poles to Abner
Humphrey's line as made Poplar being mared for corner on a stony Knowl,
oposite his orchard, thence with Humphrey's, Freds, and Richards lines to
the Beginning.

Named Son Jacob, who at the death of his mother was to receive the land
Thomas Drake (Senior) was living on, including buildings and a negro
named Phillis (but not her increase), and two horses and cows of his
choice, the feather bed.

Named daughter Deborah Richards, who at the death of her mother was
to receive a negro girl named Jen (daughter to Judge), including her
increase.

Named grand-son James Heaton Drake, and gave him 25 pounds to be paid
to him or his guardian at Grandmother Uriee's death.

Named one of his slaves, Dinah, for her faithful service, her freedom at the
death of her Mistress.
-
At the death of his wife, he stated that all residue of his estate to be divided
into 5 equal parts, and named each of his daughters; Hannah Butcher, Tasy
Combs, and Deborah Richards each a 5th part.

Bequeathed a 5th part to the grand-children of Daughter Susannah (first husband
listed as David Hopkins). Also gave to Susannah (current husband last name
of Leonard), twenty shillings.

Bequeathed a 5th part to the grand-children of Daughter Wree (Husband named
as Daniel Glasscock)

Executors of this will were named as wife Wree, and sons Thomas and
Jacob Drake.
