3749 | Although the various land/court documents including in these notes state Michael Waldrop was the father of James Waldrop, it is still unclear as to which Michael is his father. Since it was stated in Michael Waldrop Senior's records that he had re-located from Laurens to Spartanburgh county by 1786, that I have placed this James with this Michael. I have not ruled out that it also could be the younger Michael, although based on when the younger Michael first owned land, and the year of birth of James, it is unlikely. 10/20/1784 Saxon, Lewis, Plat For 250 Acres On Hendrix Branch, Ninety Six District, Surveyed By Jonathan Downs.
