In the November 1905 edition of the Larue Herald the following: "The information has reached the Herald that at the voting precinctofthe participants, near Bloyd's post office in Green County, on lastTuesday, Elijah Warren and Chunk Durrett, son of Mr. James Durrett, became involved in an altercation, which resulted in Durrett's mortallywounding Warren by shooting him through the liver with a pistol. It is also,said that Durrett received a fractured skull by being struck with a club by Warren.  The trouble was theculmination of a long standing personal feud and was in no wise connected to with political differences.  Mr. Warren was well known to most of our citizens, having traded considerably with the merchants of our town in the past year. He was the son of Mr. Gabriel Warren, of Green County, and a brother to Mr. Thomas Warren, who once resided on the H & H turnpike in this county. He leaves a widow and three grown children, two sons and a daughter."   His death was reported in the next issue of the paper.

NISKAYUNA -- Anthony J. Gatta, 92, formerly of Ford Avenue,Rotterdam,died Dec. 21, 2004, at Northwoods Rehabilitation Center,Niskayuna.

Born in Schenectady, he was a lifelong area resident andattendedSchenectady schools. He served in the Army during World WarII. He wasemployed with General Electric, retiring in 1975 with 33years ofservice. He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church,the G.E.Pensioners Club and the Quarter Century Club.

He was the beloved husband of the late Rose Mary Gatta (1978); fatherofCindy M. Gervasio; father-in-law of William J. Gervasio Jr.;lovinggrandfather of Matthew and Joseph Gervasio; and brother of thelateTeresa M. Malizia and Joseph, Paul, John and Mary Gatta. He isalsosurvived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial Mass will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, attheChurch of Our Lady of the Assumption, Princetown Road and FordAvenue,Rotterdam. Family and friends are invited to attend.

RANCHO BERNARDO - Antoinette M. Giza, 84, died Sunday, March 20, 2005.

Born June 24, 1920, in Chicago, she lived in San Diego County for 26 years. She was a homemaker and a Eucharistic minister. She was a member of the Immaculata Alumni Association.

Mrs. Giza was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Giza, in 1987; and brother August Kenzora Jr. in 1945. She is survived by her sister, Claire Jaxon of San Diego; four nieces; and one nephew.

Viewing is scheduled from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and vigil service at 6 p.m. Monday, March 28, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, at San Rafael Parish of Rancho Bernardo, 17252 Bernardo Center Drive with Monsignor Dennis L. Mikulanis officiating. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside.

The family suggests donations to Elizabeth Hospice, 150 W. Crest St., Escondido, CA 92025.

Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido is handling arrangements.

Antonio Jose Velazquez, 34, espaRo4 single, was the legitimate son of Juan Esteban
Velazquez and Juana Teresa Valverde, citizens of La Cuchilla in the Santa Clara jurisdiction. Maria
de Jesus Quintana, 23, espanola, single, was the legitimate daughter of Francisco Quintana and
Rosa Trujillo. citizens of Abiquiu. The couple was related in the fourth degree of consanguinity on a
transverse line. They stated that they were related to most of the people of their station in the area.
They asked that the p~ocecdings be focwarded to Maria de Jesus>s parish priest, Father Alcina.
Antonio Jose Vebizquez stated that he was a life-long resident of that jurisdiction. Through his hard
work he could support his intended.
Witnesses: Joaquin Garcia, 65, citizen of La Canada.
Francisco Mestas, 48, citizen of the Santa Clara jurisdiction.

In Abiquiu, Father Alcina questioned Maria de Jesus Quintana who noted that she was
getting older.

On 16 June 1807. Father Alcina forwarded the proceedings to Durango. On 9 Septem~er,
Vicar General Millan Rodriguez. noting angu!li loti, honuli!fal11ili!, and the poverty of the female
petitioner. granted the dispensation.

citizens of Chama.

Robert Patterson was born 27 January 1763 in Augusta County, Virginia.  He enlisted in
Augusta County, Virginia; and after the Rev War; Robert moved to Abbeville District of
South Carolina.  Harmon Waldrip was listed as being able to state Veracity and Character;
that they believed Robert Patterson served in the Rev. War.

of Staffordshire in Shrewvehales (Sheriffhales).

Staff. Richard de Leyes, William de Stalbrok, Peter de Wytenton, and John de Hyntes were attached to answer the plea of Edmund son of Robert de Whyston, that on the Tuesday, the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel, 4 E. II., they had beaten, wounded, and ill-treated him at Pencrich, and for which he claimed £200 as damages. The defendants appeared and denied the injury, and appealed to a jury which is to be summoned for the morrow of St. John the Baptist.

Believe the Washington Hildreth born in New York is the son of Miner Hildreth, who was
listed in 1830 Orleans County, New York federal census with two male children under 5.

The other Washington Hildreth is listed as born 1819 in Ohio in 1850 and in 1824 in Ohio
in 1860 and appears to be the son of John Hildreth, born 1795 in Connecticut.  All of these
Hildreths of this era are probably closely related.
