5257 Gabriel could be the son of Avery Warren, although through recent research, I doubt this to be the case. He may be the son of one the sons of the William and Rhoda Warren family; possibly Ben or Andrew.  Avery gave land to all his known children, but I do not find any land transactions with Gabriel. He may also be a son of Jeremiah Warren, who died fairly early in life also.  Jeremiah was a brother of Avery Warren.

He likely is related to Nathaniel Warren. Gabriel is listed with Nathaniel's family in the 1850 Taylor County, Kentucky federal census.  At age 15, perhaps a younger brother.

Gabriel is listed as available for serving in the civil war. This list is from Green county courthouse records stating all able bodied men between 18-45 could be required to serve in the War. Gabriel is on 1 of the 4 lists dated 1864.

1900 Taylor county census has Gabriel's birthdate as October, 1827

Gabriel and family are listed on the1850 Federal Census, Taylor County,Kentucky, page 167, household 249.

5269 Genealogy of Robert Keyes of Watertown, Massachusetts 1633, Solomon Keyes of Newbury And Chelmsford, Massachusetts, 1653, and Their Descendants: Also, others of the name, by Asa Keyes.   Brattleboro: George E. Selleck, Printer, 1880.

A tradition prevailed among the earlier descendants of Solomon, and is now current among the older members of the "Keyes" family, that two brothers from England, settled in this country and were the ancestors of all of the name in America. Various names have been ascribed to the brothers, and different ports have been mentioned as their placeof landing, but I find no record relating to either of them, earlierthanthat of the marriage of   "Solomon Keies and Frances Grant at Newbury, Mass., Oct. 2, 1653."

The birth of the five elder children is recorded at Newbury.

In 1664 and 1665, Solomon and Joseph Keyes took up land in Chelmsford, Mass., and in that town is recorded the birth of the other children of Solomon and Frances.

There appears to be no record of the marriage of Joseph, supposed tobe the the brother of Solomon, or of the birth of children. He might have had children born in England, or before he came to this country.

Solomon was town clerk and tything man in Chelmsford, and seems to have been a man of influence in those early days.

"The old Keyes homestead, par excellence, a roomy, two story white house, now more than two hundred years old, stands in the town of Westford, which was set off from Chelmsford, and incorporated in 1729, and most of the families of the name in that vicinity, are now said tobe of Westford. The village according to an old writer, is handsomely situated on a swell of fine land, commanding a beautiful prospect of great extent, and contains an academy of ancient date andrespectablestanding."

In an old town book of Chelmsford, we find the followin "Sar g nt Solomon Keys, dyed, Mch 28, 1702." His wife Frances, died, 1708. The name is spelled Keyes in the Newbury records, with one exception, where the second ?? is omitted, probably by mistake. At Chelmsford, the records make it Keies, generally, during the life of Solomon, although during the few years preceding, (as in the record of) his death, wefind it sometimes Keys.

5270 Genealogy of Robert Keyes of Watertown, Massachusetts 1633, Solomon Keyes of Newbury And Chelmsford, Massachusetts, 1653, and Their Descendants: Also, others of the name, by Asa Keyes.   Brattleboro: George E. Selleck, Printer, 1880.

The death of Robert, is recorded at Watertown, Newbury, Plymouth and Sudbury, Mass. The Watertown record says: "Robert removed to Sudbury, Mass., June 16, 1645, where he died 1647." Another record, makes his death occur July 16, 1647. His history seems to be, that he was in Watertown, in 1633 if not earlier, removed toNewburybetween 1643 and 1645, and to Sudbury during the latter year, and died in 1647. His widow was married to John Gage, in 1658, or according to the Plymouth record, Nov. 1664.

5276 George Ingram was sentenced to 7 years in prison on 23 May 1845 basedontrial in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England. I could not find thespecificoffense, but something as small as stealing rags could bring a 7 yearssentence.George was transported to Australia on the Convict Ship "Joseph Somes". Theshipleft Woolwich, England on 10 December 1845 and arrived in Sydney, Australia13June 1846. He was listed as being on the probation gang.

In 1849, he was given a ticket of leave (like a pardon)whileincarcerated in Tasmania. It appears from the record that he was released after4years of being imprisoned.

The records state listings of male convicts transported from theUnitedKingdom to Van Diemens land, including all those who have become free, orbeenpardoned since the transmission of the last returns in 1846 showing the placeanddate of trial, sentence, and position of each at the end of the year 1849.

Tickets of leave allowed convicts to live and work for their ownwageswherever they wanted to within a certain Police District. Tickets of leaveweregenerally given to convicts with good behavior. Convicts became eligible foraticket after a certain amount of their sentence had been served. Generally aconvictbecame eligible after 4 years for a seven year sentence, after 6 years forafourteen year sentence, and after 8 years for a life sentence. Once a yeartheconvict had to report in at the ticket of leave muster or else the ticketwasrevoked.

It appears from preliminary information this same George Ingram islistedon the Aston, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England census in 1841.
