He is survived by his wife, Henrietta, in Fountain Head, Tenn.; four sons, Donald, Sandoval; Lowell, Lincoln, Neb.; Clifford, Tulsa, Okla., and Howard, British Gold Coast, Africa; four brothers, and 13 grand-children. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Albuquerque Tribune, Tuesday, February 07, 1956, Albuquerque, New Mexico WELCH— Mr. Frederick S. 578 | 1934 June 16 - William Earnest Hinkle was a resident of Fairfax, Oklahoma at the time of his mother, Mary Elizabeth Hale Hinkle's death. 1953 June 16 - Fairfax, Osage County, Oklahoma - William Earnest Hinkle was buried in Fairfax Cemtery Section F, Lot 21, the fourth grave south. From the FAIRFAX CHIEF Newspaper, Thursday, July 23,1953 - Funeral service for W. E. Hinkle, a pioneer resident of this community, was held last Thursday afternoon at the Pentecostal Church of God, conducted by a former pastor, Rev. J. W. Caswell, assisted by Rev. A. J. Wells, Pastor of the Assembly of God Church. Interment was in the Fairfax cemetery with the Hunsaker funeral home in charge. Mr. Hinkle passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 14, at the Ponca City hospital where he had been taken the evening before. His age at death was 77 years, 3 months, 14 days. William Ernest Hinkle was born march 20, 1876 in Louisburg, Missouri, the son of Gideon and Mary Hinkle. He was united in marriage to Minnie Elizabeth Bradshaw in Louisburg, Mo., on December 7, 1899. To this union were born five children, three sons and two daughters, all of whom survive. the family moved from Missouri to Fairfax in 1916, and the family home has been in this community ever since that date. Mr. Hinkle was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. Immediate family survivors are his wife; their five children, Lee Hinkle of Medford Oregon, Ray Hinkle of Honeywell Kansas, Don Hinkle of Ponca City, Mrs. Mae Bates of Ponca City, Mrs. Bess Kolb of Los Angeles, California,; 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He first married Sarah Baker Hinkle, daughter of Gideon George 'Gid' HINKLE & Mary Elizabeth HALE About 1896 in Dallas County, Missouri. Born November 1876 in Illinois. Died in Bloomington, Kansas. Buried in Kansas. Occupation Homemaker. 1900 Census - Clinton Twp. Clinton, Henry Co., MO. at 118 Greene Street, lists Sarah, her daughter Mable E. living in the household of Gideon and Mary E. Hinkle and family. From the FAIRFAX CHIEF Newspaper - Thursday, March 2, 1967 - Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Wednesday in the Fairfax Assembly of God Church for Mrs. Minnie E. Hinkle, a long-time local resident who died in the Ponca City nursing home Monday afternoon. Rev. Frank Hall, Pastor, officiated at the services, and interment was in the Fairfax cemetery, directed by Hunsaker's Funeral home. She was born September 27, 1881 at Louisburg, Mo., and died in Ponca City February 27, 1967 at the age of 86 years, five months and 13 days. She was united in marriage to William Earnest Hinkle December 7, 1899 at Louisburg, Mo. and to this union five children were born, three sons and two daughters. Her husband preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday the 6th in the Fairfax Assembly of God Church. Pallbearers are Russell Hinkle, Morris Hinkle, Herb Hinkle, Bill Hinkle, Weldon Hinkle and Joe Bates Jr., grandsons. Burial will be in the Fairfax Cemetery under the direction of the Hunsaker Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Joe Bates Sr., Route 3. Mrs. Hinkle was born Sept. 14, 1880, in Hickory County, Mo., and came to the Fairfax area about 1910. Surviving her are three sons, Lee of Haden, Colo., Ray of Wellington and Don; two daughters, Mrs. Bates and Mrs. Bess Kolb of Los Angeles, 22 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. He married Corrine Barker in 1937. She preceded him In death four years ago. Mr. Welch was a high school teacher and a representative for Loma Linda Foods. Mr. Welch retired in Roswell in 1975. He was very active member of Seventh Day Adventist Church all of his life. Don Welch enjoyed public speaking, writing, landscaping, gardening and camping.
