5754 | In the book "Origins of New Mexico families" by Fray Angelico Chaves, original edition, 1910, revised edition 1992. This book covers families from the original settlements of 1598, and the others waves of settlements staring in 1693. Census and Military records provide a good deal of this info. It is mentioned that Nicolas Duran's daughter Catalina was married and mentioned Nicolas Duran's widow, Antonia Trujillo, Through a 1704 land dispute, I believe this Catalina Duran is also related to Captain Antonio Duran and Miguel Duran. The land dispute centered on Catalina Duran having permission to grow crops in the absence of the land owner, Capitan Anthony Montoya, which she planted and harvested for at least 3 years. Apparently the land was purchased without the knowledge of Montoya. | Duran, Catalina (I78657)

5758 | In the Kimball NEWS. Sept., 1899, page 39, Mr. Chas. F. HaseltineofPhiladelphia, quotes from the history of Pembroke, New Hampshire. The history in that particular is entirely wrong. Deacon Richard Eastman was married in Andover, Mass., by the Rev. Mr. Philips, Nov. 15, 1737, to Molly Lovejoy, born Dec. 17, 1718, daughter of Henry and Sarah (Farnum Lovejoy. He removed to Pembroke, N. H., and settled on a tract of land which his father willed him. He had fourteen of his seventeen children born there, and among them was Richard, born Apr. 20, 1747, and who married 1st, Abiah Holt, and she died in North Conway, N.H., Mar. 1, 1790. He married 2d, Aug. 27, 1791, widow Susannah Durgin, nee Runnels. Deacon Richard married 2nd, June 14, 1764, widow Sarah Abbott, widow of Job and daughter of James Abbott, of West Parish, Concord, N. H., born Aug. 13, 1730, Jonathan, the son of Richard2 was the first male child born in Conway. The history of Pembroke has the children of both of these Richards all mixed up. Another point; it isaltogether unlikely that Job Abbott, the first husband of Sarah Abbott was one of the founders of the church of Conway, because he died before Conway was settled. | Eastman, Richard (I15773)

5768 | In writings called the "Monthly Packet of Evening Readings for Members of the English Church", first published 1873; Hugh Ingram is listed as the son of a poor Kentish gentleman. This Hugh Ingram was related to Roger Sheddon and was associated with Dorothy Sheddon, daughter of Sir Thomas Sheddon. He is listed as living in Italy, before returning to England. Sheddon family was noted as of Chardham Hall and participated in the Chardham fair. Have not found a place in Kent of this name; but could be Chartham. Of Rothwell, England. 1665 Visitation of Yorkshire listed under Ingram of Cattal and Thorpe (page 146). Hugh Ingram is listed at the top of this chart. No birth year or place noted, but he is listed as died in 1612, and is listed as a Merchant of London. Also noted in tree is wife Anne, but no last name provided. In the church, are several monuments for the family of Clarke, of Somersall and Chilcote, and a mutilated alabaster slab for Philip —— , who died in 1517. The ancient monument of Matilda de Cauz has already been described. Bassano's volume of Church Notes, taken about the year 1710, describes an ancient tomb of " Hiskanda, Domina de Brampton" (without date), and some memorials of the family of Jackson, who inherited from the Bullocks, and were succeeded by the Beresfords in the possession of an ancient mansion in Brampton, now a farm-house the property of Mr. Dixon. There was formerly a chantry in this chapel, founded by Hugh Ingram. (This Hugh Ingram may have been related to Matilda de Cauz family, through marriage).
