having tuberculosis. Discharged at Camp near Richmond, Virginia on 26 May 1862.

3 years and was listed as born Laurens District, South Carolina, 28 years of age.
He was 5 feet 11 inches tall, dark complexion, yellow eyes, and dark hair, and
was a farmer prior to enlistment.  He was considered unfit for duty for 60 days
and discharged 9 June 1862.

Listed in the Ebenezer Seymour genealogy, found in the New England Genealogical and Historical Register, Volume 132 (1978), page 187. This little tidbit says that one of the Seymour children purchased land from Oliver Eastman of Rupert.  It goes on to state that Enoch and Oliver Eastman were sons of Jonathan Eastman of Norwich, New London County, Connecticut, and early tavern keeper at Rupert.

Isaac is found in the 1840 census, with son Wiley Powell Jordan [listed as under 5 years of age] and wife Elmina [listed as between 15-20 years old]

Isaac had several land transactions in Monroe County, Alabama, the last on 3 June 1845...prior to his move to Texas.

In the 1880 Federal Census, Charles Stewart Jordan stated both his mother and father were born in Alabama.

In the 1900 Federal Census, Charles Stewart Jordan listed his father and mother born as unknowns.

In the 1900 Federal Census, Wiley Powell Jordan stated both his mother and father were born in Alabama.

In the 1900 Federal Census, Susannah 'Susan' 'Louisana' Jordan stated both her mother and father were born in Alabama.

Simcoe, Feb., 1839. (NOTE:  I believe this to be an excerpt from the obituary, taken from the April 3, 1839, issue,  of the Christian Guardian, ( a methodist newspaper) page 87.

Possibly had a brother named Thomas Hall.
