Merron was born June 18, 1917, to Joseph and Annie Ingram Price.Hemarried Phyllis Worthington on June 22, 1938 in the Manti LDSTemple.Phyllis passed away on November 13, 1984. He married AleenField Reid onJuly 13, 1985.

Merron spent his life in Nephi, working 35 years at the NephiRubberPlant. He was active in the Scouting program for 30 years, eightyearsworking as a Scoutmaster. He received the Second Miler, and theSilverBeaver awards for his dedication to young men in the scoutingprogram. Asa member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saintshe heldseveral positions. He served as a member of the bishopric inthe Firstand Fourth wards . He was an avid gardener and enjoyedgrowing manyvegetables and flower. Merron and his wife Aleen spent thewinter monthsin Overton, Nevada, returning to Nephi in the Spring.

Merron is survived by his wife Aleen; one son, Stephen of Nephi;twodaughters Mrs Fred L. (JoAnn) Gowers of Las Vegas, Nevada, and MrsArthur(Marlene) Olivas of Ogden; step-children, Carolyn Farhet of StPaul,Minnesota, Paula Turner of Eagle Mountain, Charles Reid ofDanbury, Iowa,and David Reid of Salt Lake City; six grandchildren; andseventeengreat-grandchildren; nineteen step-grandchildren andfifteenstep-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2005, at 11:00a.m.in the Nephi 3rd-5th LDS Ward Church, 345 East 500 North. Friendsmy callat the Anderson Funeral Home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at thechapelSaturday one hour prior to the services. Interment will be atVine BluffCemetery, Nephi, Utah.

WILLIS R. MARTINEZ Willis R. Martinez, 40 of Raymondville, was brought to Willis Cemetery, Fernwood for burial on Friday, October 30th following funeral services at 10 a. m. at St. Raymond's Church in Raymondville. Very Rev. Msgr. John M. Waterhouse officiated. Mr. Martinez passed away Wednesday p. m. after a long illness. He was a World War II Veteran and he had lived in Raymondville 4 years where he had been an oiler and operational engineer on the Seaway. He was born at Chinook, Mont., Feb. .8, 1919, a son of Frederick and Nellie Fulton Martinez. He is survived by his wife Gladys Gardner Martinez, a son Ronald, three daughters Patty, Juanita and Darlene; his mother Mrs. Nellie Hesh, Long Beach, California, a sister, a brother and a half brother, Walter L. Hesh of Syracuse. Mr. Martinez spent considerable time in Mexico where his mother is well known.

Surviving besides her daughter, are two sons, M.Sgt. Erwin Martinez,U.S.Army in Colorado, and Walter Hesh of North Syracuse; a sister,Mrs.Louise Oliver of Lakeland, Fla., and 12 grandchildren. There will be a Rebekah service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the FosterFuneralHome with a committal service at 1 p.m. at the RichlandCemetery, theRev. Frank Halse, officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m.to noon Saturdayat the funeral home.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fleig; two sons, MasterSergeantIrwin Martinez, U.S. Army in Colorado, and Walter Hesh of 116Lynn Drive,North Syracuse; a sister, Mrs. Louise Oliver of Lakeland,Florida; 12grandchildren.

She was a member of the Methodist Church in Long Beach, Californiaandthe Silver Crest Rebekah Lodge of Mexico.

The Rebekah Lodge will have services Saturday at 11 a.m. at theFosterFuneral Home in Pulaski, Committal services will be at 1 p.m. inSouthRichland Cemetery, Rev. Frank Halse, officiate.
