8515 | Not a brother of Peter Graham, as some suggest. Elijah Graham (born 1760-1770,in NC, died 14 Nov 1841, in Ark), and Sarah (born 1760-1770, in NC, died 25 Sept l845, in Ark), were someofthe earliest settlers to go to Kentucky, about 1790/1800. They had atotalof at least eight children, seven of whom were born in Ky. or on the way. Itis believed that the family lived together in Green Co. KY, from about1800 until at least 1810. At least two of the children, Freeborn, andBerryD. were married in Green Co., Berry D. as late as 1818. It is believedbyBobbie Byars Lynch, however that "Elijah left Ky, about 1811, came through Wickliffe Ky, to cross the Mississippi, down the Mississippi to theWhite River, and up the White, making settlements as they went back andforthover the line between Ark. and Mo., and losing additional children as they married along the way" "They and their kin made the roads from the east into Huntsville(now Madison Co.), Washington and Benton Counties. It is believed thatthis Graham family traveled with Peter Graham's family as theyintermarriedand often named their children after each other as was the custom ofthattime period. It is not known how Elijah and Old Peter Graham were related, perhaps a cousin. Peter had a brother named William, which might bethe father of Eiljah." Elijah and William had property in Green CountyKy.in 1800, according to Clift's study of Ky tax lists of 1800. Note: It has not been proven that Freeborn, Gallant, and Ellis arethe sons of Elijah and Sarah but it is pretty positive that they were. Most of this information was supplied by FaithBradley, of Lowell Ark. She was the daughter of Marjorie Capps (and Mr.Townsend),the daughter of Adilla Leib (and Howard Capps), the daughter ofCharityGraham (and William Leib), the daughter of George Graham (andLucindaLancaster), the son of Peter and Nancy Graham. It was also published in the February 1976, issue of FLASHBACK, vol 26, No.1, by Bobbie Byars Lynch. | Graham, Elijah (I44286)

Name: Dominy Coloney Gender: Male Military Date: 28 Jun 1775 Military Place: New York, USA State or Army Served: New York Continental infantry regiments and smaller units, also unrelated to a state quota, were raised as needed for special or temporary service. 8526 | Not proven to be son of Henry Ingram of Stretton, but placed here as high probability to be related, as both were living in Stretton. Is proven to be son of John Ingram of Stretton and wife Joan, through census records, mentioned below. A list of families from 1532-1533 in Archdeaconry of Stafford. 942.46B4SC ser. 4, Volume 8 Lists John Engram (wife Ellen) living in Stretton with children Joan, Henry, John, Isabel Smythe, Alice, Ralph, Thomas, Elizabeth. John Engram and his wife Joan are grand-parents of children of John/Ellen. This survey is not a complete list of inhabitants, and some of the people listed were known to be dead at the time of the compilation. Its purpose is not clear but is possibly a list of those entitled to prayer in return for contributions to the Cathedral funds which would explain why some deceased persons are listed. It is believed that our Ingram's of Penkridge did not attend the Archdeaconry census taking that occured in 1532-33. There are many families that are not accounted for during this event. | Ingram, John (I111021)

8527 | Not proven to Bussell or Thomas. Placed here only as place-holder and general proximity to other Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia Skaggs families. Likely related in some fashion. Richard Skegs listed in 4 March 1658 Virginia Colony patent records, as 1 of 6 folks immigrating to Lower Norfolk, Virginia. Appears to have worked for Thomas Dyer, who had a 300 acre land patent called "Beech Ridge". Talbot county, Maryland records indicate he finished his obligations in Virginia and had moved by 1666, owning land in Talbot County. To be listed in 1666 records; age estimated to be in early 20's; placing his birth circa 1645. Richard Scaggs listed on Talbot County records on 21 October 1673. Appears to be paid in tobacco (pounds). Archives of Maryland Online (volume 54, page 578). Also in 1673, patented 50 acres of land in Talbot County, Maryland called "Sceggs Spring". Appears in some Delaware land records in New Castle County in 1681. There appears to be a mutual venture; as a William Merritt and Richard apparently invested in improving lands their beginning in 1675. The land record is significant; as it referenced in 1726 probate records of a Philemon Lloyd of Talbot County, where Richard is mentioned as of Kent County, Maryland; and also mentions the 1675 land transaction in New Castle County, Delaware. Richard is listed in various court records of Kent County, Maryland between 1715-1725. He appears to have died by 1725; which inventory and probate was completed by 16 April 1726. It does not appear that any of the this Richard Scaggs family remained at this time; which coincides with many families either moving West or South to new lands. | Skaggs, Richard (I134818)
|
8528 | Not proven to John Colony or potential brothers. Placed here only because these McFarland/Colony's ended up in Knox County, Ohio and later to Summit County, Ohio.
