8551 NOT YET PROVEN - Possible father of William Compton:   Samuel Compton-1669, of Charles County, Maryland Compton, Samuel (I106215)

8552 Not yet proven to be father of Roger.  Other souce say Andrew. Barton, Andrew (I124225)

8553 Not yet proven to be son of John Ingram of Lapley. Placed here as high probability to be
related, as Stretton is less than a mile away.

Not yet proven to be the son of John Ingram of Stretton.  Placed here as high probability
to be related, because both were of Stretton.

Staffordshire Extracts to Plea Rolls (De Banco. Hillary, 36 H. VI)
36th year of Henry the 6th (1458)
Staffordshire:
William Warde and Hugh Warde sued Henry Ingram, of Stretton, Husbandman,
Nicholas Greceholler, of Bruggeford (Bridgford), Husbandman, John Halfhide,
of Whytegreve (Whitgreave), Husbandman, and two others named, for depasturing cattle
(vi et armis) on their corn and grass at Bruggefeld (sic).  None of the defendants
appeared, and the Sheriff was ordered to arrest and produce them on the Octaves
of the Purification. m. 19.

A husbandman in england in the medieval and early modern period was a free tenant
farmer or small landowner.
Ingram, Henry (I11109)

8554 Not yet proven to be son of John Ingram of Stretton; but placed here as high probability
to be the son of John, with several older John Ingram's listed in early Penkridge records.

Listed in Penkridge Staffordshire manor records in 1540 and 1543.

Was given a headborough for Penkridge in 1543, which is similar to a constable.

It is believed that our Ingram's of Penkridge did not attend the Archdeaconry census taking that occured in 1532-33.  There are many Penkridge families that are not counted during this event.
Ingram, William (I126122)

8555 Not yet proven to Henry Ingram, but placed here as high probability to be related, living only
about a mile from Stretton, where Henry Ingram of Stretton was known to have lived.

Last name spelled as "Hyngram" in 1381 Staffordshire poll tax records. This spelling
is consistent with Ingram families living in Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire in the 1300-1400
timeframe. Geographically also aligned with Ingram families in Worcestershire.

John Ingram is listed in 1381 Lapely and Aston Wheaton Staffordshire poll tax records
as "Johannes Hyngram", "Clericus Ecclesi" with wife Alicia.

The loose definition of "Clericus Ecclesi" is that of a congregational clerk of a church/parish.
Latin: Clericus. Meaning "persons ordained for religious work" is from circa 1300.
This opportunity was typically granted to well-born youths to hold ecclesiatical benefices.

May be related to Adam de Ingram of Chester; who is listed in the same Staffordshire records
in 1365 that John Ingram is listed in, assuming this John Ingram is identical to the one listed
in Lapley Poll Tax records.

Orders celebrated in the prebendal Church of Colewych listed a John Ingram as a
"order of minors" in April 1365.  Colwich is located 7 miles NE of Penkridge.

Orders celebrated in the prebendal Church of St. John, Chester listed a John Ingram
as a "order of minors" for Lichfield in Oct 1368.

Orders celebrated in the Prebendal Church of Colewych by Robert Bishop Prisinen,
on Saturday of the Four Times in September, viz., xi. Kal. Jan. 1370. John Ingram is
listed, but not as order of minors; but in the section or area of priests.

The village of Lapley is less than a mile from Stretton, and less than 4 miles from Penkridge.

"Lapley is a small village, seated on a pleasant eminence, three and a half miles SW by W of Penkridge, including within its parish 952 inhabitants, and 3740 acres of land, in the two townships of Lapley and Wheaton Aston which constitute a manor of which FH Swinfen, Esq, is lord, and owner of 1000 acres. GB Thorneycroft, Esq, E Wigan, Esq, and many smaller owners have estates in the parish, mostly copyholds.
Lapley had a Priory of Black Monks, which Algar, Earl of Mercia and Chester, bestowed on the Abbey of Saint Remigus, at Rheims, in the time of Edward the Confessor, but having shared the fate of the alien priories in the reign of Henry I, it became the property of the college of Tong, in Shropshire. It was suppressed by Henry V, and in the civil wars, the Priory House was fortified and garrisoned for the King, under the command of Captain Smith, but in 1645 it was dismantled under a parliamentary order. Some remains may still be seen in the walls of an old house near the church.
Wheaton Aston is a large but irregularly built village, near the canal, one and a half miles W of Lapley, and five miles WSW of Penkridge. It is the most populous part of the parish, containing 706 souls and 2170 acres. In 1777, nearly half of this village was burnt down, by the thatch, which covered the houses, taking fire. But it was soon rebuilt, and the new houses covered with tiles. Fairs for cattle and swine, etc, are held here on April 20th and November 1st, and a wake on Trinity Sunday."

based on marriage dispensations of children of Francisca Gonzales.

8557 Not:e;  This may be Francisco Eloy de la Garza, baptized 1750 in Salinas Victoria.
Eloy is such a unique name, it is likely one and the same.

I have placed Joseph Eloy de la Garza Renteria here, as he likely belongs to this
family, pending further info.  Unfortunately the dispensa with Ana Maria Garcia
Trevino did not list his parentage, or at least I could not find it.
Garza, Joseph Eloy de la (Garza Renteria) (I139664)

8558 Note 0:
Not yet proven to be the son of Juan Joseph Martinez and Maria Guajardo,
although highly likely, given surnames used.

Note 1: Death info:
[Juan] Francisco Martinez Guajardo is quoted in many records as having
died in 1607.  The records noted in the timeline below indicate he was
living in Monterrey in the year 1626 and possibly noted as living until
1635.

Note 2: Name variations
Nearly all records list Juan Francisco Martinez Guajardo simply as
Francisco Martinez Guajardo.

Note 3: Parentage
It is widely accepted and written in many records that Francisco's
surname(s) were Martinez Guajardo and sometimes simply Martinez
or simply just Guajardo. Family members also took these names in
whole or part.  What is not yet proven is exactly who is parents were,
since no source info has been provided.
I have seen Francisco's father listed as Joseph Martinez Gomez or
Juan Martinez Gomez and his mother listed as Maria Guajardo.

Note 4: Place of Birth
Also in dispute is Francisco's place of birth, with some records stating
Lepe, Huevla, Spain and other records noted as El Bonillo, Albacete,
Castilla La Mancha, Spain, and others simply as Spain. Have yet to find
source for any of these records.

8559 Note 1: There were two Rufus H. Smith's in Jasper County, Georgia
1st - This Rufus H. Smith (born ca 1857) was living in Water, Jasper County, Georgia
in 1900 and married to Nancy B.
He died before the 1910 census, as Nancy was listed as a widow and had moved to
Spalding County, Georgia.
-
2nd - The other Rufus H. Smith (born ca 1851) was living in Minter and Gilstrap, Jasper
County, Georgia and married to Adeline.  He died in 1934.

Note 2:
Death locations:
Have not found actual death record, but two separate online sources
give.
1. Death in Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia
2. Death in Beat 2, Haleyville, Winston County, Alabama
Both state death date of 6 May 1903.
Not sure of which location of death is correct, but am listing #1 above, since there
is a photo of his entire family mourning his death on 6 May 1903, and I doubt
that they all were in Winston County, Alabama in 1903.

8560 Note this church is about 7 miles from the Shropshire border, and about
2 miles West/Northwest of Penkridge.  Both bride/groom were noted
to be from Penkridge.

Some folks have this Thomas Ingram, who married this Rebekah Webb
as the son of John Ingram and Elizabeth Preston.   I have found no
record that John Ingram/Elizabeth Preston had a son named Thomas.

I have this Thomas Ingram, who married this Rebekah Webb as the son
of Edward Ingram/Margaret Pye, and will leave here unless further
info surfaces.

We know that this Thomas Ingram was named in his father, Edward
Ingram's will just 2 years prior to his marriage to Rebekah Webb. In
Edward's will, he named brother Sampson Ingram, but did not mention
a Thomas Ingram, who likely would have been mentioned in his
brothers will, had he been alive (or even was a brother).  This is the
reasoning with placing this Thomas Ingram/Rebekah Webb family
with Edward Ingram/Margaret Pye family.
Family: Thomas Ingram / Rebecca "Rebekah" Webb (F55938)

8575 Note: Per actual records of Bob Warren, marriage was 9 October 1912.

Myrtle Warren was born in Carroll County, Missouri on March 20, 1886, and there she received her education in the public schools of Carrollton and grew up to womanhood.

She was married to R. E. Jones October 11, 1912. They moved to California in December, 1920, locating on their farm one mile north of Kingsburg, where she lived until called by death. She died December 18, 1923, at the age of 37 years, 8 months and 28 days.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband; one son 11 years of age; an infant daughter; her mother, Mrs. Florence Warren of Kingsburg; five brothers and one sister. Her brothers and sister are as follows: E. Warren, Kingsburg, California; Otis Warren, Los Angeles, California; James Warren, Kansas City, Missouri; G. D. Warren, Bogard, Missouri; O. K. The funeral was held from the Free church and was conducted by Rev. Tinsley of the Christian church of Selma, assisted by Rev. Morris Peterson of Kingsburg. She was laid to rest in the Kingsburg cemetery.

Dearest darling, how we miss you None but God can ever tell. Yet we cannot doubt His wisdom, For He doeth all things well. And we feel that you are happy With the loved ones gone before, And ere long we hope to meet you On that bright celestial shore.

(The Kingsburg Recorder, Friday December 28, 1923)

8576 Note: Some members of this family have been listed as being
children of Nathaniel Blood.  The death record of son Peter
Blood clearly states that his parents were Asa and Jane Blood.
There were at least 4 Asa Blood's listed in the 1790 federal
census, and  likely all were 21 years of age or older.  This
Asa Blood parentage has not yet been located.

Peter Blood's probate record names his brothers/sisters, as
Peter died without issue, thus sharing his estate with those
surviving siblings or siblings children.

Probate records between 1815-1817.  Jane "Jinny" listed as wife
of Asa Blood.   Executor was (Deacon) Nathaniel Blood (of Essex,
Chittenden, VT).   The probate record noted he was late of Fairfax,
Franklin County, Vermont. Listed within the document were both
Nathaniel W. Blood and William Blood, possible older children,
siblings or relatives.
Blood, Asa (I137699)

-Jesse H. Smith had died in May 1850 of a fever, leaving
Mary a widow in the census listed in the same year (1850).

1860 Jasper County, Georgia Federal Census
28 July 1860
-
Mary Smith listed as head of household, age 39,
born Georgia; and listed as Weaver and Seamstress
All children born in Georgia as follows:
Sarah A. F. Smith (age 20), Elizabeth W. Smith (age 17),
Richard B Smith (age 17), William J. Smith (age 15),

Joanna B. Smith (age 3), Boykin A. Smith (age 1),
Rufus H. Smith (age 2), and Julian S. Smith (age 1 month).
-
The youngest 4 children are likely the children of
daughter Elizabeth W. Smith.  The parentage is still
unclear but the children are believed to be associated
with William Crawford, but apparently did not take
the Surname (perhaps un-married).  William Crawford
died in 1870, where Elizabeth W. Smith is as a widow.

It is noted that the land that this Smith family lived on was originally in
Baldwin County, Georgia, and on 1 November 1852, a survey was to be
conducted by surveyor Meshack N. Crawford on this land which was
considered half a lot #74 in the 18th district of said County.  The land
was reported to be 101 1/4 acres. 39 acres of this land was where
dwellings for this property were located, which was in the North Corner
of the 1/2 lot of land (101 1/2 acres).  Normally 1/3 of Dower is dedicated
to widow, if no will is involved. In this case, it was 39 acres of land for
her.

Image 437 of 1012
1858 it was noted that Lewis D. Yancy was the Guardian of Elizabeth
W. Smith.

Martha E. Smith was noted as Martha Emily Smith
Elizabeth A. W. Smith was noted as Elizabeth Ann White (Smith)

Mary apparently lost her request to inherit the entire 101 1/4 acres,
but was issued the 39 acres mentioned on image 418 of 1012, as
the widow of Jesse H. Smith.   This land was originaly in Baldwin
County (Now Jasper County), and known as Lot 74.

At the start of the dispensation, Guadalupe indicates her parents are Jose
Miguel Roybal and Maria Manuela Trujillo.

8581 Note: There is no hard evidence that Cristobal "El Viejo" Trujillo was a son
of Diego Trujillo/Catalina Marquez, despite the common Trujillo surname.

Diego Trujillo was noted to be Espanol while Cristobal Trujillo was noted
to be Mestizo.

It is conceivable that Cristobal "El Viejo" Trujillo could have been a son of
Diego Trujillo, with the assumption that Diego Trujillo had relations with a
Native American women, and conceived Cristobal.
