  Married: MARRIAGE: This is in reply to Dovelion and Ida Lancaster concerning Peter Skaggs Marriage. Peter Scaggs and Marthey Cohun, this is how Martha Cothron name is spelled on the originial marriage bond.  They married on June 24, 1788 in Montgomery Co. VA.  This marriage bond can be found in Book A, Page 25.  Originial bond does state that William Leister was Peter Scaggs surety. On the bottom right hand side of the bond forsome reason is the signature of a Wm. Trigg.  From-Jeannie Skaggs Linville From Phylilis Seagraves, who provided a little more detail onthesefolks. Often listed child: Linney  b: 28, Dec. 1815   md: William Lyon d: 11, Dec. 1895     "Long Keaton Bill" Believed to be Amos's sister rather than Peter and Martha'sdaughter.Per Phyllis Seagraves.
