Notes |
Married:
- Note this church is about 7 miles from the Shropshire border, and about
2 miles West/Northwest of Penkridge. Both bride/groom were noted
to be from Penkridge.
Some folks have this Thomas Ingram, who married this Rebekah Webb
as the son of John Ingram and Elizabeth Preston. I have found no
record that John Ingram/Elizabeth Preston had a son named Thomas.
I have this Thomas Ingram, who married this Rebekah Webb as the son
of Edward Ingram/Margaret Pye, and will leave here unless further
info surfaces.
We know that this Thomas Ingram was named in his father, Edward
Ingram's will just 2 years prior to his marriage to Rebekah Webb. In
Edward's will, he named brother Sampson Ingram, but did not mention
a Thomas Ingram, who likely would have been mentioned in his
brothers will, had he been alive (or even was a brother). This is the
reasoning with placing this Thomas Ingram/Rebekah Webb family
with Edward Ingram/Margaret Pye family.
