  Last info found on Larkin Abbott is on behalf of a Mrs Elizabeth Stroope of Hunt County, Texas; who was asking for reimbursment from the federal goverment for claims of her property used during the Civil War.  A witness for Mrs Stroope; was Larkin Abbott; who resided on 5 November 1872 in Hunt County, Texas. Cannot find Larkin in the 1870 federal census. Believe since he enlisted into Civil War, Union Army, Company B, Arkansas 1st Infantry Regiment on 1 Sep 1863; and was listed as serving on behalf of State of Arkansas; he may not have returned (or was in transit back) to Texas until after the 1870 timeframe.
