- Deeds and Conveyances, Microfilm 355683, page 590 Arthur Turner to Edward Giddins South Carolina, Sumter District Know all men by these presents that I Arthur Turner administrator oftheestate of Jacob Giddins deceased in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to mepaidby Edward Giddins of the District and State aforesaid have granted, bargained sold & released bythesepresents do grant bargain sell & release unto the said Edward Giddins one tract or piece oflandcontaining one hundred & fifty three acres situate in said District & hath such form marks & boundries as aplatthereof hereunto annexed made & certified by W. L. Brunson dated the 31st day of August A.D.1830..................(Other then 30 May 1835 signature, no further genealogical information discussed in theremainingland document)
30 May 1835 I Arthur Turner do hereby acknolwedge that the several tracts of Landinthe within deed was purchased by me as administrator of the estate of Jacob Giddins deceased andwaspaid for out of the said estate above mentioned. I do hereby transfer and set over all my righttitleand interest to all and singular the said several tracts or parcels of land mentioned in the within deedtothe heirs of the said Jacob Giddins, deceased, except the right which I aquired by my marriage to mypresentwife. Given under my hand and seal this thirtyeth day of May A.D. 1835. Signed sealed anddeliveredin presence of Wm Nettles & P.E. Wells. Signed Arthur Turner
