- Leah was named as wife of Isaac Jordan in December 1811 land conveyance in Claremont County (Sumter District), South Carolina as follows:
The State of South Carolina Know all men of these presents that we Isaac Jordan and Susannah Graham of Claremont County and Sumter District in the State aforesaid, planter consideration of one thousand dollars to in hand, paid by Henry Vaughn of the County, District, and State aforesaid, planter, have granted,bargained,sold, and released, and by these presents, do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the said Henry Vaughn, all that plantation, parcel or tract of land orginally granted to John Mitchell on the seventh day of October one thousand seven hundred and sixty two, and conveyed by David Mitchell to William Graham on the fourteenth day of April one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven and then taken from William Graham by Samuel Fley, Sheriff, and sold and conveyed by the said Samuel Fley to William Simpson on the twenty fourth day of May,one thousand seven hundred and ninety two, and conveyed by William Simpson and Susanna Graham to Isaac Jordan situate lying and being in Claremont County Sumter District and State aforesaid and branch originally called Beach Creek being part of the waters of Black River, and hath such shape, form, buttings,and boundings, as the plat hereunto annexed represents, together with all and singular,the rights, members, here detraments and apputanainings, to have and to hold all land singular the premises before mentioned unto Henry Vaughn his heirs and assigns forever, against ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the saide HenryVaughn, his heirs and assigns forever, against ourselves, our heirs, and against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the or any part thereof. Witness our hands and seals this twenty ninth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eleven, and in the thirty fifth and thirty sixth years of the Independence of the United States of America. The State of South Carolina, Sumter District I John Horan one of the justices of the quorum, do hereby certify that Mrs. Leah Jordan the wife of the within named Isaac Jordan, did this day appear before me,and upon being privately and separately examined by me, did declare that she does freely voluntarily and without any compulsion, dread, or fear of any person & or persons whomsoever renounce, release, and forever relinquish unto the within named Henry Vaughn his heirs and assigns, all her interest and estate and also all her right and claim of Dower, of, in, or to all and singular the premises within mentioned and released. Given under my hand and seal this 19th day of December anno Domini 1811.

South Carolina, Sumter District Personally appeared Shadrack Brown, who being duly sworn deposeth that he saw Isaac Jordan and Susanah Graham sign, seal, and as their act and deed deliver the within deed of release, and that he and Hugh Graham witnessed the due execution thereof.
