  Mary E. Dearen, 87, of Meadowcreek Road in Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Henry Dearen and Bettie Y. Parrott Dearen, was born in Taylor County Dec. 3, 1901.  She died at 11:20 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 14, 1989 in Campbellsville after an illness.  She was a member of the Bethel First Presbyterian Church.  She was a retired school teacher, having taught 50 some years.  She is survived by two nieces and four nephews: Carolyn Edwards of Edmonton; Helen Rice and George Henry Dearen, both of Campbellsville; Victor M. Dearen of Shelbyville, Tenn.; Joseph W. Dearen of Louisville; and William H. Dearen of Decatur, Ill.; and several other relatives and many friends.  The funeral was at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by the Rev. Ralph M. Weedon.  Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.  Pallbearers were David Rice, Greg Rice, Shawn Edwards, Doug Dearen, Daryl Dearen, and Gary Miller.
