Mr. William Henry (Bud) Dearen, 79 years of age, died Friday, September 20th, at his home near Elkhorn, following an illness of some duration. The deceased united with the Bethel Presbyterian Church in early life. He was married to Miss Betty Y. Parrott in 1894 who survives with three sons and two daughters as follows: Miss Sadie Dearen, George, Charlie, and William Dearen, all of this county, and Miss Mary Dearen, of Birmingham, Ala. One sister, Mrs. Florence Clark, of this city, also survives. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Alfred Erickson, followed by burial in Brookside Cemetery. The pallbearers were Louis Clark, Rhodam and Harry VanCleve, R. T. Parrott, Leonard Phillips and Rodger Parrott.
