- Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Cole and Maud Chapel here for Arvil Amos, who died in Fresno, Calif. Aug 17. Rev. Ross Ford, of the Assembly of God Church in Eloy, conducted the services.
Mr. Amos was born in Arkansas, Sept. 28, 1903. A former resident of Casa Grande, he has been living in California for the past 1-1/2 years.
Surviving are his sons, A. J., of Casa Grande, Paul B. and Eugene, both of Silver City, N.M., Ben, of McAlester, Okla., and Kenneth, who is stationed in Japan with the Marine Corps; his daughters, Mrs. Betty Jo Husky, of McAlester, Okla., Mrs. Ann Lee Mitchell and Juanita and Peggy Amos, all of Crowder, Okla.
Other survivors include his brothers, Harvey and Jim, of Eloy, and Marvin, of Stegler, Okla.; sisters, Mrs. Verty Yarbrough, of Eloy, and Mrs. Ethel Gadberry, of Texas; and 14 grandchildren.
Interment was at Mountain View Cemetery.
