He later had servedin theU.S. Army where he was stationed in Korea. Upon his return toAZ. he hadworked for R.B. Duncan, AZ. Highway Dept, and the Agua FriaHigh School.He worked for S.R.P. at the generating plant in Glendaleuntil hisreturement in 1991. Ernie loved the desert and liked to campout and dosome hunting. He is survived by his wife Zelpha, daughterTerri Smith ofGoodyear & son Brian E. of Avondale. One sister JoannGalbriath of CedarRapids, Iowa & grandson Johnny Smith Jr. There willbe a visitation onTues. evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Buckeye FuneralHome.
