Floyd "Wally" Allen Waldrip, of Prineville, died June 24. He was 77.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Waldrip was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Hagerman, N.M., the son of Sidney and Melissa (Welty) Waldrip. He graduated from high school in Eugene in 1948. He married Donna Fritz on July 2, 1949.
Mr. Waldrip served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1951. He sold farm equipment and did upholstery work in Eugene. He moved to Bend in 1971 and opened Wally's Sales and Service, which he operated until 1992.
Mr. Waldrip was involved in the Eagles Lodge, the VFW, the Moose Lodge, the Lions Club and the Elks Lodge, and he was a past president of Moon Country Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, bowling and gardening.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Edmonds, of Vancouver, Wash., Chris Bateham, of Arlington, Wash., and Dawn, of Bend; a brother, Clyde, of Juneau, Alaska; three sisters, Ethel Blaine, Florene Johnson and Roma Terry, all of Eugene; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
