- Wednesday, January 19, 2005 Stella Beatrice "Bea" Skaggs, 74, of Mt. Sherman, Ky., died onSaturday,Jan. 15, 2005, at the home of her daughter. Daughter of thelate Johnnyand Bertha Underwood, she was a member of Dezarn BaptistChurch in Creal,Ky. and a homemaker. She was married to Norman L.Skaggs, who survives.Survivors also include five daughters and oneson-in-law, Janice andRodney Dale of Buffalo, Ky., Deloris Montgomeryand Patricia Montgomery,both of Campbellsville, Sandra Nesbitt ofBradfordsville, Ky., andKimberly Patterson of Greensburg, Ky.; threesons and twodaughters-in-law, Buddy Darrell and Linda Thompson ofRussell Springs,Ky., Ricky Thompson of Allendale, Ky., and Mickel andJune Thompson ofMagnolia, Ky.; one sister, Elnore Atherton ofShepherdsville, Ky.; twobrothers, Wilson Underwood and EugeneUnderwood, both of Louisville, Ky.;14 grandchildren; 12great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; andfourstep-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she wasprecededin death by her first husband, Glenn "Buddy" Thompson; onedaughter,Denise Thompson; two sons, Monroe Thompson and Randy Skaggs;andseveral brothers and sisters. Funeral was Tuesday, Jan. 18atBennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Ky. Bro. GuyWhitlowofficiated. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Church Cemetery in Mt.Sherman.
