- David Jewell Salsman, 65 David Jewell Salsman, 65, of Sonora, died Nov. 15, 2004, athisresidence. He was a member of Barren Run Baptist Church, retired fromGeneralElectric, a member of LaRue County Sportman�s Lake, NationalKnifeCollector’s Association, I.E.U. #761 in Louisville, and a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Leslie and CoraLeeSloan Salsman; a granddaughter, Alaura Jewell Salsman; twosisters,Elizabeth Wells and Mildred Salsman; and two brothers, TomSalsman andHoward Salsman. He is survived by his wife, Debra T. Salsman; two daughters,CharlotteSalsman Owens of Hodgenville and Jennifer Lynne Fritsch ofBowling Green;four sons, Mark Allen Salsman and Kevin Matthew Salsman,both of Sonora,David Michael Salsman of Florida and Phillip AndrewSalsman ofHodgenville; four grandchildren; four sisters, GertrudeJaggers andMargaret Cruse, both of Hodgenville, Dorothy Hornback ofLouisville andAlvena Salsman of Magnolia; and a brother, Irvin Salsmanof Louisville. Funeral services will be held Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. atBennett-BertramFuneral Home with Rev. Carlton Puryear and ChaplainMary Jo Kruerofficiating with cremation to follow.
