- Woodrow Skaggs, 79 Woodrow Skaggs, 79 of Hodgenville, died April 26, 2005 at theHardinMemorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church in LaRue County, aNavyVeteran of World War II, a Kentucky Colonel, member of the DAV,activemember of the L.S.T. Naval Organization and a loving husband,father,grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harrison andMarthaJohnson Skaggs, a brother; Clell Skaggs and a half-brother,Harry Skaggs. He is survived by his wife, Lavern Warren Skaggs, six daugters;ConnieViers, Bonnie Ray, Ann Callison, Brenda Jeffries, Penny Jenkins,and LisaPullin all of Hodgenville, a son; Daniel Woodrow Skaggs of BigClifty, 16grandchldren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. April 29 at theBennett-BertramFuneral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Dewey Keys,Jr. officiating.Burial will follow in the Friendship #2 Baptist ChurchCemetery inHodgenville. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home.
