  Jane, the eldest daughter of Robert Bures and Joan his wife, wasalready married when her brother Henry made his will in 1524, for she isreferredto in the latter as "my sister, Jane Sturton." She and her brotherRobertboth married into the noble family of Stourton. Her husband Roger Stourtonof Ruston, Dorset, Esquire, son of Edward, Baron Stourton ofStourton,Wiltshire, made his will 28 Jan. 1550. In it he mentions "Mr. Bueres mywifesbrother," i.e. Robert Bures, and "my Sister King." The will was proved by Robert Bures, proxy for the widow, 3 March 1550-1.
