  Robert, the younger brother of Henry Bures, and his descendants--Hewas born in 1508. He was, therefore, twenty years of age at the time ofhis brother's death and presumably living at Foxearth with his mother whoin the inq. p.m. of 12 May 1529 is described as "still surviving and infulllife at Foxearth." Robert Bures married Dorothy, second daughter of the Honourable Christopher Stourton of Little Langford, Wilts., Gent., who wasthefourth son of Edward 5th Baron Stourton of Stourton, Wiltshire. As theWaldegravesand Heighams belonged to the Catholic gentry of the Reformation period,sothe Stourtons belonged to the Catholic nobility. Lord Stourton, the 5thbaron succeeded to the peerage in 1523. In 1531 he was one of those whosigned a letter to the Pope demanding the divorce of Henry VIII. HemarriedAgnes, daughter of John Fauntleroy of Fauntleroy March, Dorset. His willdated26 Nov. 1535 was probated 17 Jan. 1535-6. He was buried at Stourton,where there are stone effigies of them both over their graves.
