- Gary Richard Waldrop Marietta
Gary Richard Waldrop, 62, beloved husband of Betty Jean PierceWaldrop,died suddenly on June 27, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jun. 30, 2005, at the homeofMr. Waldrop's oldest son, 410 Tugaloo Road, Travelers Rest.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 42 years, are two sons andadaughter, Gary Charles Waldrop of Travelers Rest, Verner Ray WaldropofTrenton, Fla., and Lindsey Rae Waldrop of the home; sixgrandchildren,Chelsea, Krista, Lillian, Mark, Shawn and Cody; onebrother and twosisters, James Harold Waldrop of Travelers Rest, BettyBridges ofGreenville, and Doris Brown of Marietta.
Mr. Waldrop was born in Greenville, a son of the late William VernerandFlora Estelle Epps Waldrop. He served in the U.S. Air Force, andwas amember of Nine Forks Baptist Church.
The family will be at 410 Tugaloo Road, Travelers Rest.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army BoysandGirls Club, P.O. Box 1237, Greenville, SC 29602.
