listed as 74 years and 5 month of age at date of death on 26 November 1874 in
Kingwood District, Preston County, West Virginia. This would place his birth in
June of 1801. Death record did not state his place of birth.

Will of Charles B. Fawcett, Preston County, West Virginia Will Book 3; pages 153-155
I Charles B. Faucett of the County of Preston, State of West Virginia, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.
To my wife Phebe Faucett, I devise and bequeath for and during her natural life the entire estate, real and personal, whereof I may die seized or possesed, with full power at any time to sell any personal estate so bequeathed, and if necessary for her comfortable maintenance and support, to sell and convey any of the real estate so devised as aforesaid, and from and after the death of my said wife the said property devised as aforesaid or so much thereof as may not have been used and sold by my said wife during her lifetime, I give and devise as follows; viz:
To the Children of Burkett Faucett, deceased. Who shall be living the thirty five acres of land adjoining the lands of Michael Roach.
To my son John Allen Faucett, the farm on which he now resides, being the land purchased by me from B. Ross and W. G.B. Braun, to be held and enjoyed by my son, the said John Allen Faucett, during his natural life and at his death to be absolute property of ??? of his children as may be then living.
To my son Wm M. Faucett, the real estate whereon he now resides near the village of Independence in said County, to be enjoyed and held during his natural life and at his death to be the absolute property of his children then living.
To the Children then living of my daughter Ann Moore, deceased; a one third interest in the farm purchased by me from Samuel W. Wright.
To my Daughter Mary Catherine Gribble a one third interest in the farm purchased from Samuel W. Wright as aforesaid to be held and enjoyed by the said Mary Catherine Gribble during her natural life and at here death to be absolute property of here children then living.
And to my Daughter Kisiah Miller the remaining third of the farm purchased from Samuel W. Wright as aforesaid, to be held and enjoyed by the said Kisiah Miller during her natural life, and at ther death to be the absolute property of here children then living.
And should either of my sons or daughters herein above named die previous to the death of my said wife, then I will and direct that his or her interest in ??? said property herein above devised, descend ??? and become, at the death of my said wife, the property of his or her children then living.
I heremy appoint John S. Murdock and Joseph Jackson to be the executors of this my last will and Testament. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this 4th day of September 1874.

The last will and testament of Charles B. Faucett, deceased, was this day produced by John S. Murdock, one of the executors therein named and offered for probate, and thereupon came James W. Parkes and Marcellus H. Murdock the two subscribing witnesses thereto who being first duly sworn disposes as follows to with; that the said testator subscribed the same as witness thereto in the presence of the testator and that the said testator was a the time of so doing according to the best of their apprehension of sound mind, therfore is is considered by the clerk that the said will be admitted to record as the will of said decedent, and if appearing that Joseph Jackson, one of the executors named in said will refuses to qualify and declines to act as such executor, thereupon on motion of John S. Murdock, who made oath according to law and with Marcellus H. Murdock an approved surety entered into and acknowledged a legal hand in the penalty of fifteen hundred dollars it is ordered that a certificate be granted the said Murdock for obtaining probate of said will in due form. Also that W. J. Stone, James S. Stone, and M. H. Murdock be appointed to appraise the personal property of said decedent. Done in the office of the clerk of the County of Preston County, West Virginia on the day and year last aforesaid. Test. Henry
