HELEN L. RICHEY Porter, IN Helen L. Richey, age 74, of Porter, IN, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2008 in Valparaiso, IN. She was born on September 5, 1933 in Marion, IN to Anthony Wayne and Emma (Wilson) Stroup. She was married on August 14, 1950 for 58 wonderful years to Richard Richey, who survives of Porter, IN. Helen is also survived by her son, David (Jennifer) Richey of Valparaiso; daughters, Pamela Richey of Orlando, FL, Karen (Robert) Lafayette of Las Vegas, NV and Catherine (Greg) Richey-Slappey of Manhattan Beach, CA; brothers, Herman (Naoma) Stroup of Springboro, OH and David Stroup of Marion, IN; sister, Mary (Rex) Hadquist of Marion, IN; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son Anthony Wayne Richey. Helen was a lifelong area resident. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 1:30 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN with Pastor Gene Tanner officiating. Burial of the ashes will follow at Chesterton Cemetery, Chesterton, IN. www.EE-FH.com
