CHEROKEE VILLAGE -- William Scott Mann Jr., 83, of Cherokee VillagediedSaturday, March 20, at Ash Flat Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in San Francisco, he was a World War II Navy veteran and hadservedin the Marine Corps. He was a member of the CivilianConservation Corps.
He was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Cherokee Villageandworked as a master pipe fitter. He moved to Cherokee Village 15years agofrom Bremerton, Wash.
A charter and lifetime member of Silverdale Masonic Lodge No. 311inSilverdale, Wash., he also was a member of National AssociationLegionsof Honor, Nile Temple, was a master Mason of Bremerton LodgeNo. 117, alifetime member of Kitsap Lodge of past masters, a ScottishRite Masonand a life member 32nd degree, Valley of Bremerton andOrient ofWashington.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Irene Mann; two sons, Arthur C.Mannand Sheldon S. Mann; five grandchildren; and threegreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services are scheduled for 11:45 a.m. April 18 at St.AndrewsEpiscopal Church, with the Rev. John Edwards and the Rev. DonNortonofficiating. Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland is incharge ofarrangements.
