- Marilyn Dennis VENICE - Marilyn Alice Mace Dennis, passed away Jan. 12, 2004,inRichfield. Marilyn was born on July 27, 1944, in Orem to CliffordDeanMace and Mildred Bernece Fowler. She married DeVar Boyd Dennis onFeb.10, 1960, in Springville. Their marriage was later solemnized intheProvo LDS temple on July 19, 1983. He preceded her in death onSept. 15,1990.
Marilyn owned and operated a bridal shop - Bride's Etc. in Richfield.Shewas a member of the Venice LDS ward and attended on a regularbasis.Marilyn loved going to the temple and tried to go as often aspossible.She was a very crafty lady. She loved sewing and makingceramics. Marilynalso enjoyed doing genealogy. She loved spending timewith hergrandchildren and cherished each and every one of them.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Corey DeVar (Cozette M.)Dennis,Venice, SueAnn Lynne (Richard J.) Scott, Spanish Fork; KristineEllen(Tim G.) Mace, St. George; and Denise Amy (Michael H.) Lowry,Richfield;24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers,Clifford "Skip"(Linda) Mace, Piedmont, S.D.; Ronald (Loraine) Mace,St. George; Terry"Butch" (Pam) Mace, Brigham City; Martin (Connie)Mace, Evanston, Wyo.;and Rodney Mace, Richfield; sisters, Nancy (Ken)Francis, West Valley;Gloria (Ken) Fowler, Richfield; Vicky (Robert)Hone, Spanish Fork; Tami(John) Stewart, Springville; and Shelly Mace,Magna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, DeVar; son, Dean BoydDennis;parents, Clifford and Mildred Mace; sisters, Sharon and ShannonMace; andbrother, Robert Mace.
Funeral services were Jan. 17, in the Venice LDS ward with bishopRicRoberts officiating. Compassionate services were provided by theVeniceLDS ward Relief Society.
A family prayer was offered by Terry Mace, (brother), and theinvocationwas given by Clifford Mace, (brother).
Prelude and postlude music was performed by Louise Miller.Musicalselections included "Two Little Hands" and "Families Can BeTogetherForever" performed by the grandchildren and accompanied byLouise Miller.
Tributes were given by Corey and Cozette Dennis, SueAnn Scott,Kristineand Tim Mace, Michael and Denise Lowry, Ron Mace and RodneyMace. Remarkswere given by Ric Roberts, and the benediction wasoffered by MartinMace, (brother).
Serving as pallbearers were Corey Dennis, Clifford Mace, TerryMace,Rodney Mace, Martin Mace and Ron Mace.
Honorary pallbearers included Tim Mace, Richard Scott, Mike Lowry,RonenDennis, Andrew Dennis, Dilyn Chafshin, Travis Thorp, StetsonLowry,Dalton Lowry, Landon Lowry, Kristopher Mace, Colton Mace, SeanScott andDaniel Scott.
Interment was in the Provo City Cemetery with the dedicatory prayergivenby Terry Mace.
