- Dorothy Louise McClain Dorothy Louise McClain, 69, of Security, Colorado passed away onOctober26, 2005 in Colorado Springs. Dorothy was born on January 25,1936 inCarson, Iowa to Arthur Abe and Edna Irene (Strong) Rose. Thereshe grewup and later married Laurence David McClain on July 18, 1955.They movedto Security, Colorado in 1962. She retired from Current in1995. Dorothyis survived by her husband, Laurence McClain; herchildren Lawrence(Kathy) McClain and Sheri (Guy) Jordan; tengrandchildren; eightgreat-grandchildren; her sisters Anna Turner andEsther Eickholt ofCarson, Iowa; brother, David Rose of Carson, Iowa;and brother-in-law,Donald Dean of Security. She is preceded in deathby her mother andfather; her brother, Harold; and her sisters: Illene,Bonnie, Shirley,and Carol. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday,October 31, 2005 atDove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel. Please callDove-Witt for times.Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, andfriend. She enjoyed bingo,cooking, family dinners, and most of all sheenjoyed time with hergrandchildren. She will be dearly missed. Published in The Gazette on 10/29/2005.

Aunt Dorothy was always so gracious in allowing ourfamily theopportunity to "invade" as we did, and to enjoy the timespent withextended family.
