- Avades B. Arellano Sunday, June 26, 2005 Avades B. Arellano, 78, born in Garcia, Colo., passed away peacefullyinhis home, June 24, 2005. Preceded in death by his daughter,MaryArellano; granddaughter, Shawna Arellano; his brothers, ManuelArellano,Martin Arellano, Fidel Arellano; and sisters, EutemiaPacheco, AliceSantistevan, and Armanda Armijo. Survived by his lovingwife of 55 years,Pauline Arellano; his daughter, Wilma (Mark) Brown ofSarasota, Fla.; andsons, John G. (Eve) Arellano of Pueblo, JoseSantistevan of Pueblo,Bernie (Debbie) Arellano of Thornton, Colo.;eight grandchildren and 10great-grandchildren, numerous nieces andnephews. Avades, a longtimeresident of Pueblo, loved his town, retiredfrom the City of Pueblo after35 years. He loved, first and foremost,his family, enjoyed working inhis yard and home as well as theoutdoors, fishing and camping and tripsto Cripple Creek. The King ofthe Wild Frontier will be missed and willremain forever in our hearts.Rosary recitation, 6 p.m. Sunday, andfuneral Mass, 10 a.m. Monday,both services at Holy Family Church.
