- Beatrice Ann "Bunny" Holzner
Beatrice Ann "Bunny" Holzner, age 77, died on Tuesday, April 6, 2004atWashoe Medical Center in the presence of her family. Bunny was born April 19, 1926 in Duluth, MN and had lived intheReno/Sparks area since 1953, coming from Gardena, CA. She worked asadealer at Harold's Club where she met and married George Owens whoownedthe Green Fox Bar and Dinner House on Old Highway 40. After hisdeath in1974, she met and married the love of her life, Giddeon "Jack"Holzner,Fire Chief of Phoenix.
She was a member of the Harold's Club Pioneers. She worked atJesseBeck's Riverside and moved from there to Phoenix. She spentherretirement in Sparks, NV in her cute little house with her 2 littledogs.She loved to dance and have fun and experience life to it'sfullest.Always "for the good times".
Although she was unable to have children of her own, she dearly lovedhernieces and nephews as her own children, as well as her stepchildren,step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren from hermarriage withJack.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack. She is survived byhersisters, Lois Pace, Billie Bailey, and Diane Mansfield;stepchildren,their families, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 11:00 a.m.atWalton's Funeral Home, 1745 Sullivan Lane, Sparks. A receptionwillfollow from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Reno Elks Lodge. In lieuofflowers, the family requests donations be made to Harold's ClubPioneers,PO Box 5477, Reno, NV 89513.
