The testator bequeaths his own dwelling and the neighbouring one occupied by Benjamin Essex (on the northern side of High St. in St. Michael's pa.) to his own daughter Ann, with his friends John Ward (of Coventry, gent.) and George Seiker (of Coventry, mercer) as trustees, then successively to her sons in primogeniture, her daughters together, the testator's own son John (of Stratford-upon-Avon, Warws., mercer), John's heirs, the testator's daughter Mary (wife of John Rogers of Hampton-in-Arden, Warws., mercer), her heirs, and the testator's right heirs; to his son John, £30; £10 each to the Rogerses for mourning; £20 to the testator's grandson Thomas Rogers at his majority; and the rest to the testator's daughter Ann, who is appointed executrix.
5th. Jan., 1750/1. Codicil whereby the legacies are revoked unless within twelve months John Smith pays Ann the debts he owes the testator (witness: William Inge).
