- ONALASKAN SUCCUMBS A longtime resident of route 1, Onalaska, Charles M. Wolhaupt, 78 died Thursday in a chehalis hospital following a short illness. Born Feb. 27, 1885 in Stratford, Wisc., he was a farmer and came to this area from Montana in 1925. He was a past master of the John L. Arnold Grange, past noble grand of IOOF lodge at Portland, Wash., a 37 year member of the State Grange and 24 year member of the National Grange. Survivors include the widow, Goldie, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Rice, Spokane, and Mrs Agnes Hale, Cloverdale, Calif., one brother, Henry, Thief River Falls, Minn., 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services are to be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Fissell Funeral, Chehalis, with the Rev. Kenneth Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
