  ALPINE - Shirley Neill Vickers, 72, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, in a local care center. Graveside service was Thursday in Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements were by Geeslin Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, George Vickers; children Phil Vickers of Marfa, Jan Poenisch of the Davis Mountain Resort, Lindy Valkonen of Sonora and Charlie Brandon of Lakehills; mother Teda Neill Johnson of Carlsbad, N.M.; brother John Neill of Carlsbad; and stepbrother Jim Johnson of Dallas.
