"March th(?) 1909 Mrs Susanah Thomson. Dear Sister, with great pleasure I write youagain and tel any excuse for the long delay. I am some what lonely. Della an Jesse has moved to Wetumka a town about 25 or 30 miles from hear it did not suit me to go just now there were no place for me toput my tools for a shop without paying to much rent and then I might haveto stay there 6 months befor could work much bisness and I get rite smart work hear and I thought I would stay with it a while longer any way I have a pretty fair one room house about 14 by 16 feet square it costsme one dollar an 50 cents a month rent after my trouble and expence of fixing it up there are two other shoe shops hare besides mine but we a(?) mix up the custom with our selves the best we can for a while yet anyway. Well about the picture you wanted after I decided to stay hear an keep back I had to by bedding and a cooking outfit so I could cook (?)at an sleep(?) in my shop and it cost me a rite smart little bitof money to fix so I could live like a decent old Bacheler, but I wil git the picture bfore very long an send it to you. I bought a (?)keyheater for a cook stove it is flat on top with 2 eyes(?) one for the dinnerpot an one for the frying pan. I am going to ......................................??????????? back hear I think I wil get the picture an send it to you. You ask about Charley Jordan I don't know where they are I have not heard from any of them in (?) years. The last I heard of them they were in Flat(?) County Texas. You speak about ...(?) is he hapens to get where you are tel him I wouldbe awful glad to see him an tel him to write to me an tel me al about the country where he has bin an how he likes it. tel Mr. Thomson I would like to see him and have hold of his hand once more. tel me what youare al doing away out there and what you are doing it with. I would loveto go out ther an stay a month with you its so far away I fear I wilnever have money enough to travel so far what is the name of your nearest(?) does Denk(?) or Sallie Welch live in that country and how far are you from them. I would be glad tosee them a gain this is Sunday having getting a litle bit late an looking like rain guess I had better chop off for this time an begin to make preparations for my litle oldsupper but I stewed a pot ful of fresh meat for dinner and have light(?)bread and butter an aggs and I wil not cook any more tel morning and then there (?) be coffee in the bil(?) write soon to your Brother (signed) W P Jordan."
