  Mr. Haywood A. Mitchell, Jr., 74, son of the late Mr. Haywood A. Mitchell, Sr. and Mrs. Anna Ingram Mitchell, was born 19 Nov 1904 at Big Stone Gap, Va., and departed this life at 5:40 am Sun. 14 Oct 1979 at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. Mr. Mitchell operated the Springdale Farms Dairy for 30 years and was a charter member of the Greensburg Rotary Club for 40 years. He united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Dennison 12 Sept 1945, who survives. Mr. Mitchell is also survived by 2 sisters: Mrs. Mary Katherine Howard, Greensburg, and Mrs. Margaret Page, West Lafayette, Ind; 1 brother: Willis Mitchell, Babson Park, Fl; 4 nieces and 5 nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home at 1 pm Tues. 16 Oct by Rev. George Pierce. Burial was in the Greensburg Cem. Pallbearers were Jerry Sullivan, Benny Sullivan, Corbett Humphry, Willard Mitchell, William Wright, and Eddie Paxton.
