- Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Ingram Buckner, 86 years of age, were held Tuesday afternoon, September 27 at 2 p.m. from the Campbellsville Baptist Church with the Rev. B. J. Skaggs and the Rev. J. L. Robinson in charge. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Mrs. Buckner, daughter of the late Walter W. and Betty West Edwards Ingram, was born in Taylor County March 6, 1863. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Shelby Chandler, on Monday, September 26, at 1 a.m. She professed faith in Christ at an early age in life and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Richard D. Buckner on October 26, 1884 and to this union two daughters and two sons were born: Mrs. J. Shelby Chandler, Mrs. B. H. Bowen, Dr. Frank I. Buckner, and Robert W. Buckner, all of Campbellsville. Mr. Buckner preceded her in death in 1944. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Clarence Bland, Dennis Vaughn, Allison Shipp, Charlie Newcomb, Horace Massie and Robinson Young.
