Between Hannah Simpson, William Northcutt, William Simpson, Elijah Moore, Daniel
Cheshir, Vincent Wyatt, Hezekiah Mouldin, James Thomason, Presley Simpson, Hester
Simpson of Henry County, Samuel Organ, and Baptist Cheshir of Halifax County, and Jesse
Simpson of Pittsylvania County, widow, heirs and representatives of John Simpson
deceased of the one part and John Stone, Jr. of the county of Halifax of the other part, for
the consideration of the sum of forty pounds of current money of Virginia, a certain tract of
land lying and being in the County of Halifax on the waters of Runaway Creek containing 80
arces bounded by the lines of Joshua Compton, Cajah Wyatt, Benjamin Soving, Joel Tucker
and a tract of land sold by the heirs of John Simpson deceased, to Joel Tucker to have and
to hold the said tract or parcel of land and premises with all its appurtenences unto the said
John Stone, Jr. his heirs and assigns, forever, and the said Hannah Simpson, William
Northcut and Franky, his wife, Samuel Organ and Sarah, his wife, Baptist Cheshir, William
Simpson, Elijah Moore and Nancy, his wife, Daniel Cheshir and Jenny, his wife, Vincent
Watt, James Thomason and Prudende, his wife, Jesse Simpson, Presley Simpson, and
Heathey, his wife, their heirs, executors and administrators doth oblige themselves by virtue
of these present to warrant and defend the right of the above land and premises with all its
appurtenances in fee simple clear of all incumbrances whatsoever unto the said John Stone,
Jr., his heirs and assigns forever.
