- George G. Dunn age 80, a life long resident of Millcreek, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009 surrounded by his family at Fairview Manor.
He was born in North Girard, PA on August 11, 1928 the son of the late Glenn and Margaret Drury Dunn.George served in the US Army 7th infantry Division Signal Corps and served in the beginning
of the Korean War. He was a supervisor at Penn Brass and Copper for 42 years. He was a member
of the Nuova Aurora Club and a life member of the American Legion.He enjoyed working on his Volkswagen and cars; he built wind chimes and was a tinkerer. He also enjoyed gardening. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Ormsbee Dunn; his second
wife Rose Hill Dunn; a son Kelly J. Dunn; three brothers, Melvin Dunn, Dale Dunn, and Robert
Dunn and a sister Leah Sirak.He is survived by three sons: Daniel Dunn, Sr. and wife Diane of Millcreek, Scott Dunn of Millcreek and Patrick Dunn and wife Karen of Erie, a brother Hugo "Pat" Dunn of Girard. He is further survived by ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, many
nieces and nephews.Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th at Powell Ave. Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. and are invited to a service there Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. David McIlvried officiating. Burial will be in Waterford Cemetery with full Military Honors.Memorials may be made to the US Olympic Committee, 1 Olympic Place, Colorado
