- Sylvia Fisher
MISSOULA - Sylvia Fisher, 87, of Missoula, passed away at the Village Health Care Center on Monday, Oct. 15, 2001.
She was born Jan. 28, 1914, in Evaro, the daughter of Minnie Smith and Mike Thorsheim.
Sylvia graduated from Ronan High School in 1932. She married Frank Richardson in 1935. She later married Herbert C. Fisher in Thompson Falls on June 10, 1950. Sylvia worked as a cosmetic consultant at the Missoula Mercantile (now The Bon Marche) from 1949 to 1971. She then assisted her husband Herb in his accounting business until his death in 1991.
Sylvia enjoyed traveling, crocheting, knitting and other hand-work, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband; three brothers, Alf, Martin and David Thorsheim; and three sisters, Olga Fulton, Modiste Berry and Lucille Strasburg preceded her in death.
Her family includes a son, Bill Richardson and his wife Darlene, of Missoula; two granddaughters, Kathy Kamura and her husband Rick of Missoula, and Karen Richardson of Elk Grove, Calif.; and three great-grandsons, Ryan, Tyler and Trevor Kamura, all of Missoula.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Sunset Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Dan Dixson officiating. A reception will follow at Garden City Funeral Home's community room.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Victim's Relief Fund, in care of Clear Channel, World-wide Relief Fund, P.O. Box 659512, San Antonio, TX 78265 or to Camp Mak-A-Dream, 3700 S. Russell, Missoula, MT 59801.
Arrangements are under the direction of Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory.
