Father listed as born in New Hampshire, mother in New York.  Month of birh listed as January. Herman located in 1905 Wisconsin state census; in the town of Stephenson, Marinette County, Wisconsin. Herman located Herman in 1910 Wisconsin federal census, in the town of Stephenson, Marinette County, Wisconsin. Father listed as born in New Hampshire, mother in New York. Herman was located in 1915 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; living in the National Homes for disabled volunteer soldiers. Birth year was listed as 1843; and birth state as Vermont. Herman died on 10 December 1927 at National Home, Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin; buried at the National Home Cemetery (later renamed to Wood National Cemetery), Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. Nearest relative listed as Niece Sarah Ackrill (Charlotte Boston's daughter) Herman served in the Civil War, for the Union; with the14th New Hampshire Infantry, and was a private in company K.
