- 1829 - per rev war pension request record, resided in Cayuga County, New York.
This record stated he enlisted in the war in February 1776 in the State of
Massachusetts (Lated stated by widow he enlisted in Northhampton, Hampshire
County, Massachusetts). He provided a life lease of about 30 acres of land (In
Sempronius) to his son, also named Spencer Phillips. He stated he had lived with
his son since the 18 March 1818, and his occupation was that of a farmer. He
stated that his wife Dorcas was aged 72 in 1829 (born circa 1757).
1834 - Pension record stated Spencer and Dorcus moved with ther son Spencer
Phillips to Huron County, Ohio.
The pension record continued later in Hartland, Huron County, Ohio by the
widow Dorcas, who stated her husband died on 24 December 1840. The
record also stated that they resided in Ashfield, Hampshire County (Later
Franklin), Massachuesetts. Dorcus died in October 1842, both husband
and wife died in Hartland, Huron County, Ohio.
Dorcus also named her children and spouses in this document, with aprox
ages given.
