  Virginia M. Smith, 89, passed away July 21, 2012 at her home in Widefield. "Jenny" lived at the same address in Widefield since 1962. Jenny was born in Griffin, GA and was the youngest of the three children in her family. She married her husband of 62 years in 1943. She worked at the Pentagon during WWII while her husband served in the Army Air Corp. After moving to the Colorado Springs area in 1962 she was busy raising her four sons. She was preceded in death by her husband LTC Homer C.
