1744 property Record
Margarita Martin (deceased), per this property record was noted to be
married twice, first to Juan (Manuel) Padilla, and second to Bernardo
Roybal. Margarita Martin had property in both Rio Arriba and San
Geronimo de Taos.
The children's property (and assumed any minor children) were assigned,
as follows:
1. Carlos Fernandez was already married to daughter Barbara Padilla and
he took responsibility for her property/assets. Barbara Padilla was noted
to be a daughter of Juan (Manuel) Padilla and Margarita Martin.

2. Joseph Martin (brother of Margarita and Uncle took over responsibility
for the property of Juana Martin, Tomas Martin, and Julian Martin, also
children of Margarita Martin and first husband Juan (Manuel Trujillo)
This was later amended to be transferred to Marcial Martin (1765 will
of mother Maria Chaves noted Marcial to be a son of Sebastian Martin
and Maria Chaves)

the father of Margarita Martin (deceased) and grand-children of those
just named.
