WILLISTON, S.C. - Mr. Harold Frederick Starr Sr., 76, of KeithCircle,died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers,Aiken.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Folk Funeral Home with theRev.Jimmy Hanf officiating. Burial with military honors will be inWillistonCemetery.
Mr. Starr, a native of Madison, Wis., was a Marine Corps veteran ofWorldWar II and the Korean War and had retired from E.I. DuPont atSavannahRiver Site. He was a former scout master for boy scout troupe65 for 12years and was a member of the band and athletic booster clubsand was amember of Williston First Baptist Church, where he was formerSundaySchool teacher, training union director, choir member anddeacon. He wasa former training union director for Barnwell BambergAssociation.
Survivors include his wife, Martiele
Tiele'' Quattlebaum Starr; a son,Rick Starr, Bamberg; two daughters,Brenda Starr McManus and Marsha StarrWallace, both of Gilbert; and sixgrandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Williston First Baptist Church; or totheWilliston Cemetery Fund.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at thefuneralhome.
