- Leckwee, Gary S. DALTON - Gary S. Leckwee, age 61, died Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Hewasborn March 4, 1945, in Madison, the son of Lester and Katherine(Flint)Leckwee. Gary was a wonderful father and grandfather, bestknown for thelove he had for his children and grandchildren. Gary wasan avidoutdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time.Known byhis family and friends as an "all around" handyman, Gary couldrepairalmost anything. He was a kind and thoughtful man who always putothersbefore himself. Gary touched the lives of all who knew him. Whenyoubecame Gary's friend you were his friend for life. Gary was amember ofPainters Local 802 for 24 years. Greg Wolf, the owner ofSchmelzer PaintCo., was Gary's best friend and hired Gary severalyears ago, knowingGary would be a great asset to the firm and helpbuild the business. OnJune 22, 1996, Gary was united in marriage withTeresa Killerlain, inMadison. In addition to his wife, Teresa,survivors include twodaughters, Tammy Boyd of Wonewoc and WendyLeckwee of Cottage Grove; twograndchildren, who were "the apple of hiseye," Cheyenne Leckwee andSabrina Boyd; five brothers, David (June)Leckwee of Windsor, Tom (Rose)Leckwee and Greg (Jackie) Leckwee, bothof Poynette, Jeff (Cindy) Leckweeof Lodi and Stuart Eckes of Madison;two sisters, Thea (Ralph) Jesse ofLodi and Kerman Eckes of Madison;three stepchildren, Nicole and TabathaKillerlain, both of Madison andCory (James) Killerlain of Dalton; andhis father-in-law, GeraldKillerlain. He was preceded in death by hisparents and hismother-in-law, JoAnn Killerlain. Funeral services will beheld at 1p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME, wherefriendsmay call from 10 a.m. until time of services. The Rev. JerryAmstutzwill officiate and burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.Inlieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made toTheRespite Center, 2120 Fordem Ave., Madison, WI 53704.
