- Eldridge Blain
Eldridge "Moe" Blain, 76, of Waco, died Saturday, August 24, 2002 in a local nursing home. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, August 27 at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Dan White officiating. Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Blain and his family were familiar residents of South Waco and Bells Hill. He attended Waco High School where he played football for the Waco High Tigers
until joining the Army in 1944. After his service he went to work for Owens-Illinois Glass as an electrician and computer technician for more than forty years.
Moe was preceded in death by his wife of fifty six years, Annette Herring Blain, his father, William Arnold Blain, his mother Bertha Harris Blain , his brothers J.B. , Jess, Joe Hal, Frank, and Arnold "Buster" Blain , his sisters Nancy Summerour, Elizabeth Elkins, and Lillie Baker.
He is survived by his brothers Charlie and Robert, his son, Bobby Jack Blain and wife Linda, granddaughters, Crystal Bailey, Jennifer Johnson, and Alysen Cox.
Honorary pallbearers are Billy Pool, Dwayne Schwarting, S.C. ?Bubba? Allison, Ben Hough, Percy Hough, and ?Red? Marable.
